It becomes a tradition for children from the Come On, Let’s Play! project to attend the first team training sessions

On the eve of Shakhtar's home match vs Dnipro-1, the Miners’ training session was attended by the participants in the Come On, Let's Play! project. 12-year-old twin brothers David and Danyil Tyurin from Popasna met the team defender Viktor Korniienko and made a joint photo with their favourite football player.

“I was pleased to meet with the guys and talk,” said Viktor Korniienko. “They love football and root for me, support me, they like me as a football player, it’s really gratifying for me. Emotions from such meetings are just positive. I see that the guys want to play football and develop. I remember myself at that age and I can say that back then every child also dreamed of meeting a Shakhtar player.”

The guys talked to their idol and received his autographs, gifts and tickets for Shakhtar's home match against Dnipro-1 at the NSC Olimpiyskiy.

“The children who are fans of Shakhtar train in the Come On, Let’s Play! project. Many of our participants, despite their young age, have gone through some tough moments in their lives. For example, like David and Danyil Tyurin who live in Popasna and were there during the active period of hostilities,” says Inna Khmyzova, Shakhtar Social Director. “It’s really great when we can fulfil at least one childhood dream by organizing this kind of meeting with a Shakhtar player. It will motivate them to play football, to learn new things, and will just give them some joy. I am sure the guys will remember this event for the rest of their lives!”

The Come On, Let’s Play! project is implemented with the support of the general partner DTEK.
