On Shakhtar News, Shakhtar women's team head coach Roman Zaiev spoke about the training process of his side during the league break

- You currently have a fortnight’s break between matches. How do you use it?
- Everything goes according to the work schedule and training plan. We have scheduled a two-week training cycle. Today the team end up the first weekly cycle and leave for the weekend, and starting on Monday they will be preparing directly for the game.

- Are Saturday and Sunday days off?
- Yes. The girls got a great workload: we worked out in the gym for two days, combining it with working with ballwork on the field. All training sessions lasted two hours, so they deserved this rest.

- The team are improving their form. Is the mutual understanding on the pitch getting better?
- Yes. The team was formed from football players from different parts of Ukraine. Today we have come to the stage that we can use for developing quality play.

- How does a two-week break affect the fitness in terms of physical form, will the players gain or lose more during the break?
- We try to control this, as well as step it up from game to game. Hopefully, the bricks laid during the cycle will also be needed to defeat other teams.

- Can we expect any decent resistance from your future rivals, or will we see competition in the Ukrainian Cup?
- All are newbies. Including Vorskla Poltava who, just like Shakhtar, Chornomorets and Dnipro-1, participate in the tournament for the first time this year. It’s very difficult to say at what level a particular team is until you meet them on the field. Vorskla have already played two matches, they did not lose and claimed the maximum points, so we hope the game will turn out to be of high quality.
