FC Shakhtar and its partners continue helping those in need
Shakhtar club buses have been transporting the evacuated Ukrainians for two weeks now. Thanks to the support of the club’s fuel partner BRSM-Nafta, they made dozens of transfers from the Shelter Centre at the Arena Lviv to Truskavets, Drohobych, Horske, Novoyavorivsk and other settlements in the Lviv region. Comfortable buses have already transported about 1,000 people.
Shakhtar continues to deliver humanitarian cargos in the Lviv region. Thus, the Novorozdillia professional lyceum (the village of Novyi Rozdil) received targeted assistance, where children from single-parent families and orphans from specialized institutions in the eastern regions of Ukraine have been evacuated to. The club staff brought there some bedding, electrical appliances, food, and personal hygiene items.
Also, two trucks loaded with humanitarian cargos (over two tonnes) left the Arena Lviv to deliver the aid to residents of the Bucha district of the Kyiv region. This aid will be distributed by the local authorities in the settlements most affected by the hostilities.
It should be noted that about UAH 1.4 billion has already been donated by SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the Shakhtar football club to help Ukraine and Ukrainians just during the first 40 days of the war.
