Shakhtar had a charity match vs Antalyaspor in Turkey as part of Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace

All proceeds from the sale of tickets and advertising will be handed over to volunteer organizations, doctors, and also donated to help the Ukrainian children affected by the war.

The Miners appeared for the match wearing the shirts with a photo commemorating the three-month-old Ukrainian Kira Glodan who was killed with her mother and grandmother in Odesa as a result of rocket strike on the city by Russian troops. There was a "How many more?" caption under the photograph. To date, 215 Ukrainian children have fallen victim of the Russian aggression... The game began with a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the war.

Brazilians Fernando and Luiz Adriano who once played for Shakhtar, have shown their respect for the club and Ukraine by briefly appearing for Antalyaspor at the start of the match. The hosts started the match more actively and opened the scoring early as Mustafa Erdilman scored a goal in the 8th minute. However, the Miners immediately intercepted the initiative, carried out a series of dangerous attacks and equalised in the 21st minute: Artem Bondarenko found Manor Solomon with a great pass from the centre, the latter handled the ball and netted a precision goal, making it 1-1. The Israeli was generally distinguished by his threatening actions in the course of the Miners’ attacks and had a few other good chances: for example, he twice found himself one on one with the keeper, but failed to convert his opportunities. Yukhym Konoplia had a chance to score, but missed a cross by mere inches. The shot performed by Mykhailo Mudryk was also dangerous. Late in the first half, the Turkish players responded with their own chance, but sent the ball wide.

At half-time, Roberto De Zerbi made a series of changes in the lineup by fielding Shevchenko, Farina, Stasyuk, and Topalov. Later Chekh, Udod, Siheev, Boriachuk, Myshnyov, and Drambaev also appeared on the field. For the most of the second half, the Miners controlled the game and surpassed the opponents in the number of scoring chances created. Mudryk had several chances, but his shots did not reach the target. The young substitutes tried to give edge to the action, and one of them managed to score the second goal. In the 76th minute, Dmytro Topalov took the initiative by moving inside from the right and hitting the back of the net. 2-1 – Shakhtar beat Antalyaspor. In Croatia on May 1st, the Miners will play a charity match against Hajduk Split as part of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace.
