FC Shakhtar and the club partner SkyUp Airlines company initiate a series of charity matches under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

Here is a preliminary schedule of Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace fixtures:

9 April. Olympiacos Piraeus – Shakhtar

14 April. Lechia Gdansk – Shakhtar

19 April. Fenerbahce Istanbul – Shakhtar

1 May. Hajduk Split – Shakhtar

All proceeds from the sale of tickets for matches and advertising will be transferred to the volunteer organizations, doctors, and also spent on aid to the Ukrainian children affected by the war.

Sergei Palkin, FC Shakhtar CEO:

“We want to talk about war and peace in Ukraine through these matches. About the terrible war that Russia unleashed against Ukraine, about the suffering and destruction that this war brought to our country. About peace – the need to end this madness, return to normal life and rebuild the country. Our messages are simple: Stop War in Ukraine and Football for Peace – that says it all.”

Oleksandr Alba, co-founder of SkyUp Airlines company:

“From the very beginning of the war, SkyUp Airlines has been making efforts for the sake of a speedy victory: we deliver humanitarian cargos to the nearest airports in Ukraine, carry out evacuation flights, and now we are implementing a charity project together with Shakhtar. FC Shakhtar and we are long-term partners, and this time we have joined forces to benefit our home country even more.”

A series of charity football matches has been possible thanks to the joint efforts of FC Shakhtar, SkyUp Airlines company, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the support of representatives of Greece and other countries who responded and embraced this idea.

We are rooting for Shakhtar and believe in Ukraine's victory!

We want to remind you that about UAH 1.4 billion has already been donated by SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the Shakhtar football club to help Ukraine and Ukrainians during the 40 days of the war.
