Shakhtar organized a tournament for displaced children

In Lviv, they held a football festival for the children affected by hostilities
The tournament was organized by the Shakhtar football club and the Otaman Resort hotel in Lviv that hosts weekly volunteer master classes for refugees from different regions of Ukraine.
Approximately 40 displaced children from Mariupol, Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel, and other places of Donetsk and Luhansk regions took part in the football tournament. The boys and girls were divided into teams and, under the guidance of the Shakhtar Academy coaches, they had a series of fun relay races and a friendly match. Shakhtar mascot Mole entertained the kids in contests and activities, and each participant received some sweet gifts.
According to the parents, such festivals are really important now for the kids who have gone through the horrors of the war, and the bright and positive emotions they received today will help them cope with the experiences of the recent weeks.
We want to remind you that about UAH 1.4 billion has already been donated by SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the Shakhtar football club since 24 February 2022 to help Ukraine and Ukrainians.
