Shakhtar defender will play for the Brazilian club
The deal is effective until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Vitao is a graduate of the PSTC academy and his first professional club was Palmeiras. The footballer played for Brazil’s select youth teams in different age groups, he also captained the Selecao U20.
The defender joined Shakhtar in 2019 and has made 36 appearances with the Miners in all competitions since then. Vitao has appeared in 15 matches this season. He won the Ukrainian league title (2020) and raised the Ukrainian Super Cup (2021) with the team.
We want to remind you that about UAH 1.4 billion has already been donated by SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the Shakhtar football club since 24 February 2022 to help Ukraine and Ukrainians.
