Shakhtar’s training camp: training process continues

Shakhtar footballers conduct the pre-season preparation at the Slovenian national team base near Maribor. The team had one day off and today, on August 12, the guys went back to work after friendlies vs Al-Adalah (1-0) and Domzale (3-0) played on Wednesday.

Training of the Miners was started with fitness session in the gym. A lot of exercises were performed to strengthen all muscle groups. Then practicing on the football pitch was waiting for the players, where the coach staff offered a series of team competitions. We want to point out that hot weather in Brdo during these days changed with some coldness facilitating a good work.

A few days of training are waiting for the Orange-and-Blacks in the future and Shakhtar will play two charity matches as a part of Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace with Al-Fateh (Saudi Arabia) on August 15. Kickoff is at 12:00 (11:00 CET) and 19:00 (18:00 CET) Kyiv time.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets and advertising will be used to purchase everything necessary for the defenders of Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens and children affected by the war. A total of UAH 13.2 million has been raised through the 5 charity matches played in the spring.

We want to remind that from February 24 to August 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted UAH 3 billion or about USD 100 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 11 million people throughout the country.
