Shakhtar takes Legia Training Center by Warsaw on lease

FC Shakhtar has signed a lease and service agreement with Legia Training Center (LTC). The agreement is for the period between August and November 2022
Legia Training Center offers the highest standard of football training and performance. The facility was awarded with the “Best sports facility of 2021” title in the prestigious “Sport Biznes Polska”. It is located 20 minutes drive from Chopin International Airport in Warsaw and 30 minutes from the heart of Warsaw including Legia Stadium, where FC Shakhtar will play its home UCL game.
Legia Training Center will be also a venue where FC Shakhtar Youth team will play their UEFA Youth League games.
Vitalii Khlyvniuk, FC Shakhtar Sport Management Department Director:
– There is everything we need for Shakhtar preparation at the territory of the Legia Training Center. We will have one training field with natural grass for our exclusive use, indoor training facility, and large gym. Also there is everything for recovery of footballers: swimming pool, hot tubs and saunas. We will be able to use spacious office and conference room and our chef will work within top professional kitchen. The LTC infrastructure will provide Shakhtar with possibility to run the training process at the highest level and convenient location in relation to the stadium and airport will reduce time spent for logistics. We want to thank Legia Training Center for hospitality and assistance provided.

– LTC is a Europeanly recognized football training and R&D facility. Since opening our doors in the summer of 2020, we have hosted thousands of trainings, hundreds of domestic and international youth and senior games, as well as other quality events. We are home to Legia first team and Academy teams and now it will be our honor to be one also for Shakhtar coaches, players and staff.
Legia Training Center located by Warsaw was completed in 2020 and is rated as one of the best sport facilities of Europe. It consists of 9 football full size pitches (7 natural and 2 artificial), as well as 9,000 m² building including indoor sports hall, almost 400 m2 of gym area, wellness, medical, R&D and other premium functionalities.
Legia Training Center will be also a venue where FC Shakhtar Youth team will play their UEFA Youth League games.
