Shakhtar midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk talked to the media representatives at the open training session of the team
– What expectations do you have from the coming season taking into account that Shakhtar’s squad was completely renewed?
– Squad was renewed, but it will be also a new championship. We had the renewed squad last year. It changes almost every year. So we just prepare for the new championship.
– How did preparation for the match against Metalist 1925 go and what was emphasized?
– Everything was as usual, nothing has changed. The team is well-prepared tactically, emotionally and physically. I think that we are ready for the championship.
– Did the team get used to the requirement of the new head coach?
– Yes, it was clear from the first day what the coaching staff demands from us and we work in this direction.
– What are the main differences between training process of De Zerbi and Jovicevic?
– Each coach is an individual and has own vision of football. Someone has more combinational style, the other one prefers sharper football; everyone is different from each other.
– There are journalists from Great Britain here. Do you have a message for the entire world and footballers from other countries?
– Yes, I do. They have to remember what events take place in Ukraine, because a lot of time has passed and, maybe, the world forgets about this. Our goal is to remind the entire world about the fact that nothing is ended, about the atrocities we experience here in Ukraine.
