The Orange-and-Blacks continue preparation for MD1 game of the Ukrainian league against Metalist 1925
On August 22 Shakhtar footballers held an open training session on the pitch of the NSC Olimpiyskiy where the match starting the new UPL season will take palace. Journalists had an opportunity to talk to Shakhtar head coach Igor Jovicevic and players Taras Stepanenko and Mykhailo Mudryk prior to session start. Then they watch first 15 minutes of the training.
The team trained a little more than an hour starting from warming-up and continuing with playing exercises, as well as set piece practicing.
We remind that the UPL MD1 game Shakhtar vs Metalist 1925 will take place on Tuesday, August 23, in Kyiv at the NSC Olimpiyskiy. Kickoff is at 13:00. Meeting will be held without spectators. Live broadcast will be available on Setanta Sports TV channel.
This will be the first official football match in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
We want to point out that from February 24 to August 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted UAH 3 billion or about USD 100 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 11 million people throughout the country.
