Shakhtar's winter holidays are over now
On January 13, the Orange-and-Blacks returned from vacation. Within three days, the players will undergo a scheduled medical examination in groups before flying away for their first training camp in Turkey.

On Thursday, eight Shakhtar players arrived at the Dobrobut clinic in the capital: Tymur Puzankov, Valerii Bondar, Yukhym Konoplia, Viktor Korniienko, Artem Bondarenko, Mykhailo Mudryk, Heorhii Sudakov and Danyil Sikan.
“The medical examination includes tests, chest X-ray, ECG, echocardiography, ultrasound examination of internal organs – everything that we have every year,” says Artur Hlushchenko, the head of Shakhtar first team’s medical department. “We get the results, compare them with previous ones and, if there are no changes, we allow the players to start the training process. This year, we have a medical examination at the Dobrobut clinic for the first time ever. Considering how well organized everything is here, the process is really fast. The examination takes about two hours."
On Friday and Saturday, two more groups of players will undergo medicals. And on Sunday, January 16, Shakhtar will go to Turkey for a training camp.
