The Orange-and-Blacks continue preparing for the season in Rotterdam
On Monday July 18, the team had just one training session in the morning. Stretching, strength training and abs exercises were the main focus, with the players performing them outdoors. The Miners also had exercise bikes installed right by the sidelines.
Lassina Traore and Sergii Kryvtsov were training individually after recovering from injuries, along with Vladyslav Vakula. They received personal training from the head coach Igor Jovicevic and his assistants. In the evening, all the players got some free time to rest and recover.
Shakhtar will have almost two weeks of training camp and three test games. The Miners have got their first training camp friendly scheduled for July 22 vs Fortuna Sittard before the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace charity matches vs Ajax and Utrecht.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets and advertising will be used to purchase everything necessary for the defenders of Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens and children affected by the war. A total of UAH 13.2 million has been raised through the five charity matches played in the spring.
We want to point out that from February 24 to July 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted more than UAH 2.7 billion or about USD 90 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over three million people.
