First interview with newcomer of the Miners, Bohdan Mykhailichenko
Ukrainian defender Bogdan Mykhaylichenko has arrived to Shakhtar at the training camp in Rotterdam and already had debut training session with the team, after which he answered the questions of the club’s media.
– Bogdan, welcome to Shakhtar! What emotions are you feeling now?
– Thank you, very positive emotions! I am glad to return to the UPL during such a hard time for our country and to join such a great club like Shakhtar.
– How did you find out about the interest from the club and what factors influenced your decision to join Shakhtar?
– My agent was the first who told me. Then I received a call from Darijo Srna. When I learned about the interest, I agreed immediately. No factors needed here. It is a great club. Of course, the Champions League is a big challenge for me as well. So I am here.
– As a graduate of Dynamo could you imagine that you will play for Shakhtar one day?
– I didn’t think about that, but it is life, it is happened.
– What was your acquaintance with the team?
– Basically, I knew all the players from national team, so there were no problems at all. I was well received, we held the first training session, so everything is ok.
– Before the training session, guys decided to organize initiation for you and Neven Djurasek?
– Yes, we were welcomed to the team in this way: they made a corridor, we ran through it, and then there was some beating. Everyone laughed and this was the point.
– Under what number you are planning to play?
– I do not know yet. I have no special requests, any free number will be good.
– What tasks and goals do you have for the season?
– Definitely to consolidate my position in the starting lineup and to help the club.
– What would you like to say to Ukrainians and Shakhtar fans?
– I will give one hundred percent. That is all I can promise.
