Today’s warfare highlights in Ukraine
Today is the seventy-sixth day of the Ukrainian people’s heroic resistance to Russian military invasion.
The full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine continues.
The enemy troops are raising the pace of strategic offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone. They fire along the entire contact line and deep down our troops’ defensive area. The greatest activity of the occupiers is observed in the Slobozhanshchyna and Donetsk-bound directions.
There is a high probability of missile strikes on civilian and military infrastructure.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the enemy did not take any active action.
The movement of military vehicles of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus was noted as part of the combat readiness checks and the completion of the rotation of certain units involved in strengthening the protection of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.
In the northern direction, the enemy troops continue providing enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. They fired mortars in the border areas near the settlements of Karpovychi and Senkivka in the Chernihiv region.
The enemy troops did not conduct any active offensive operations in the Slobozhanshchyna direction. They continue taking measures to regroup the existing units. They also carry out engineering and fortification equipment of their advanced positions, bolster the air defence system and enhance the medical support system.
In order to prevent the advance of units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine and to strengthen their troops, the enemy additionally brought up to five hundred mobilized men from the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to the territory of our state.
In the Izyum direction, the enemy troops continued creating favourable conditions for the offensive by replenishing their weapons and materiel, they also conducted engineering equipment of advanced positions and strengthened air reconnaissance.
Unsuccessful attempts to establish control over Rubizhne continue in the Severodonetsk area.
The enemy carries out assault operations near the settlements of Nyzhne, Toshkivka and Orikhove in the Luhansk region, having no success.
The enemy is trying to gain a foothold in the area of the settlement of Oleksandrivka, is carrying out assault operations near the settlement of Shandryholove, Donetsk region, without any success though.
In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers attempted some assault operations towards the town of Mar’inka and the settlements of Kamyanka in Yasynuvata district and Novomykhailivka in Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region. They were unsuccessful.
In the city of Mariupol, the enemy continues to focus its efforts on blocking and destroying our units near the Azovstal iron & steel works. With the support of artillery and tank fire, the enemy troops conduct assault operations.
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia and South Buh directions has not changed significantly.
A higher level of terrorist threat is still present in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. Mobilization activities are not being carried out in the region, and the local armed groups and a task force of Russian troops continue to be on high alert.
The enemy continues suffering losses in the territory of Ukraine. Thus, according to available information, due to significant losses in the Kharkiv region the units of the 138th separate mechanized brigade of the 6th Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District were withdrawn from Ukraine to the area near Belgorod for replenishment. A significant part of the remaining contractees submitted resignation requests.
As a result of coordinated actions of the personnel of units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, the settlements of Cherkaski Tyshky, Ruski Tyshky, Rubizhne, and Bairak were liberated.
