Rinat Akhmetov congratulated FC Dynamo on the 95th anniversary

May 13 marks the 95th foundation anniversary of the Dynamo Kyiv football club
On the occasion of the anniversary, FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov sent his greetings to the FC Dynamo president Ihor Surkis.
“I would like to congratulate the management, staff members, and fans of FC Dynamo Kyiv on the club’s 95th foundation anniversary.
The great history of Dynamo Kyiv is a history of major victories and accomplishments, dozens of trophies won and successes on the international stage, respect of the football world and the devotion of millions of people. Dynamo has long and consistently been a symbol of not only Ukrainian football, but also of the strong and independent Ukraine.
The history of Dynamo was written by many generations of outstanding executives, talented players, coaches and employees of the club, but one thing has remained unchanged throughout the years – the striving to preserve the glorious Dynamo traditions and meet the topmost goals.
Ambitions and the will to win have always united Dynamo and Shakhtar, it also ensured a spectacular rivalry between our clubs on the football field. The standoff between Shakhtar and Dynamo beautifies the Ukrainian league, and our matches at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk and at the Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv are the best and most memorable games in the history of the clubs.
Today we all live in anticipation of the main and common victory for our country. And I sincerely hope that very soon Dynamo and Shakhtar will meet again at the stadiums of peaceful and prosperous Ukraine, and that they will have many more outstanding matches in front of the full stands.
I wish the Dynamo fans peace and wellbeing, and I wish the club more major victories and history-making achievements.”
