Recent information on the military situation in Ukraine
Today is the seventy-fourth day of the Ukrainian people’s heroic resistance to Russian military invasion.
The enemy continues its full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.
The enemy troops do not stop conducting offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions and keep the land corridor between those territories and the occupied Crimea.
The enemy's main efforts have been focused on destroying the airfield infrastructure in order to prevent the actions of our aircraft, including the Bayraktar UAVs, to support the actions of air units in the area of responsibility of the Allied Forces and in the Black Sea Operational Zone. They raised the intensity of use of the operational and tactical aviation over the northwestern Black Sea.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the enemy did not take any active action. Until May 27 this year, they have been holding drills of territorial defence units in the Minsk district with the involvement of conscripts who are in reserve.
The probability of rocket-bomb attacks by units of the Russian Armed Forces at the infrastructure of Ukraine from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus still remains.
The enemy troops did not take any active action in the northern direction. Larger units of the Border Guard Service, as well as units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, continue operating at checkpoints and in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. Further fire damage to our troops and infrastructure in the border areas cannot be ruled out.
In the Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy troops are concentrating their reserves in the Belgorod region to carry out hostilities near the state border of Ukraine. The deployment of individual units of the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District has been confirmed in those areas.
The occupiers did not carry out any active offensive operations in the Kharkiv-bound direction. Their main efforts were focussed on preventing the advance of our troops. The grouping was strengthened by relocating units of the Western Military District from the recovery area. They continue shelling the military and civilian infrastructure.
In the Izyum direction, the enemy regrouped its units, replenished its reserves in order to increase its offensive capabilities, and conducted air reconnaissance with the use of the Orlan-10 UAVs in order to clarify the positions of our troops.
In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, the enemy is fighting to restrain the actions of units of the Defence Forces. During the last day, the enemy has intensified its hostilities. They are trying to reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. They carried out regrouping and replenishment of losses, increased the number of air defence systems and logistics, presumably in order to intensify hostilities in the areas of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.
In the Lyman direction, individual units of the 90th Tank Division tried to take full control of the settlement of Oleksandrivka, with the support of artillery they also tried to gain a foothold in the northern outskirts of the settlement of Shandryholovo. They were not successful.
In the Severodonetsk direction, the enemy troops are trying to seize the settlement of Rubizhne, without any success though.
In the Popasna-bound direction, the invaders are trying to take up positions in the settlement of Popasna and take control of a section of the Popasna-Bakhmut motorway.
The enemy troops are advancing towards the settlement of Novoselivka, without any success though, so the fighting continues.
The Kurakhove direction, the enemy troops are rying to improve the tactical situation in the direction of the settlement of Novomykhailivka, but has no success.
In the Mariupol-bound direction, the intensity of hostilities has been reduced.
In the Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy intensified air reconnaissance in the areas of the settlements of Orikhiv, Hulyaipole, Komyshuvakha, and Yasna Polyana.
In the South Buh area, the enemy is trying to retain the occupied positions using forces of up to 15 battalion tactical groups. They do not carry out any active hostilities. The enemy troops fired mortars, artillery, and rocket-propelled grenades at positions of our troops. They carried out replenishment of their losses. The invaders also used military aircraft in the area of the settlement of Karyerne.
The administrative-police regime measures in the temporarily occupied territories are underway. Thus, there is an intensification of filtering activities by units of the Rosguard in the areas of the settlements of Heroyske, Hola Prystan, and Kherson.
There is a possibility that assault operations will be carried out in some areas in order to improve the tactical situation, bind our troops, and prevent the transfer of our reserves.
The moral and psychological state of the occupiers' personnel remains low, with regular cases of drinking and desertion being registered. The personnel of the enemy's units complain about the ineffectiveness of their attacks against the position of the Defence Forces of Ukraine in the area of Hulyaipole.
