All participants of the UEFA Europa League playoffs were determined
16 clubs will be represented in the knockout round play-offs: the eight runners-up from the UEFA Europa League group stage will be seeded; the eight third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage are unseeded.
Seeded: Manchester United, Monaco, Nantes, Midtjylland, PSV, Rennes, Roma, Union Berlin.
Unseeded: Shakhtar, Barcelona, Juventus, Ajax, Bayer, Salzburg, Sevilla, Sporting CP.
Shakhtar will find out their rival from among the seeded teams during the draw, which will take place on November 7 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon. The ceremony will start at 14:00 Kyiv time.
The first play-offs are scheduled for February 16, with retaliatory matches taking place in a week.
The winners of the knockout round play-offs will advance to the round of 16 and join the winners of the Europa League groups. The defeated teams will be eliminated from the European Cups.
