Inhulets head coach Serhiy Lavrynenko summed up the match of the 11th round of the championship with Shakhtar
– I want to congratulate Shakhtar on the victory, they did a good job and won a well-deserved victory. We wanted to create more problems for the opponent in game terms but it happened the way it happened. We didn't succeed, in the first half we wanted to play on counterattacks but we failed to properly dispose of the ball. In the first half, Shakhtar had a great territorial advantage, but they had no bright moments, except for the goal kick that broke us. Perhaps we looked better in the second half of the game but Shakhtar realized their moments: a penalty kick and a goal in compensated time became a point. We understood that we were performing various tasks: Shakhtar always competes for gold medals but we solve the problem of staying in the UPL. We have different levels of football players, teams and everything. We wanted to give a better game but it happened as it happened.
– What did you want to change in the half-time, what were the accents on?
– After the break, we replaced those who were on the cards because we understood that it would be impossible to play with Shakhtar in the minority. We fielded players with good speed who can play on counterattacks. Emphasis was placed on attacking actions.
– Which of the opponent's players was most memorable?
– Shakhtar coach will give an assessment but I liked the whole team. Everyone plays the ball well and knows their functions on the football field. Shakhtar have a good and solid team, it is a top team for the championship. Until we have a strong championship, the number of such teams will not grow. I think it is difficult for Shakhtar in the Euro arena because only a strong championship can produce strong rivals. Teams will only progress under such conditions.
– What are the plans and tasks of the team at the end of the first lap?
– We need to save the players because we have a meeting with Zorya in two days and there is no time to rest. There is also a match with Dynamo Kyiv on the reserve day – a game after the game. On November 5, 8, 13, 16 and 19, we have matches – it's hard, it's also a constant move. We’ll try to take points.
