Shakhtar forward Danylo Sikan talks about a hat-trick against Metalist, a conversation with Jovicevic and an understanding with Mudryk
– Congratulations on the victory and hat-trick! What is the secret of your success in recent matches?
– There is no secret – I just work hard during training sessions and try to score at every moment.
– Was there a feeling before the game that it would be possible to score?
– I felt maybe I'd score one goal, but the team and coach believed in me, and it helped a lot. Thanks to the team!
– Jovicevic's faith in you was notable. Did you discussed it before the match?
– Yes, before the game, he said that if I score two in the first half everything would be fine.
– How do you feel when you do a hat-trick?
– With every game, with each training, I feel more confident. I hope I give confidence to the team and the team gives it to me.
– There was a good understanding with Mudryk. Have you worked out game combinations in advance or everything was spontaneous?
- I wouldn’t say it was spontaneous. We played together a lot both in the national team and in Shakhtar. He used to pass me a lot, and it worked again.
– Whom will you dedicate goals to?
– To Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If it weren't for the Armed Forces, maybe we wouldn't have played football now.
– You went to the match in T-shirts in support of the heroes of Azovstal.
– Thank you, thank you so much. These heroes are part of our country.
