Shakhtar U19 head coach Oskar Ratulutra commented on the UEFA Youth League against Real Madrid
– We played against the opponent with a name. Real Madrid surpassed us and won the deserved victory. We have to accept it, prepare for matches and keep in mind that we have the next game in a week.
– What did your team lack?
– We face a good pressing: the opponent performed very high and tight pressing and it was difficult for us to get away from it. Real Madrid were aggressive and our boys were not ready for this. We tried to fight until the end; we had all the chances to balance the game after our goal. We should have withstood the pressure. Unfortunately we conceded the third goal, which made thing really hard for us. It should be noted that the boys did their best and played for each other, but, again, the opponent was better.
– How will you motivate the team for the rest UEFA Youth League matches?
– We will prepare in the normal mode. The main thing now is to recover and prepare for the next important matches. We understand that it is morally difficult after such failures, but we have many matches ahead. We should forget the past and move forward.
