UAH 18.4 million is received from matches against Ajax and Roma

Profit from matches of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace will be used to help Ukraine and Ukrainians
The Miners played a series of charity matches of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace in Ukraine to raise funds for Ukrainian citizens affected by war. Thus, Ajax vs Shakhtar friendly in Amsterdam at the Johan Cruijff Arena netted a profit in the amount of UAH 5.1 million (or EUR 134 thousand). UAH 3.8 million from this amount is directed to the Shakhtar Social foundation, other UAH 1.3 million is sent to Yevhen Levchenko’s Breath Care for Kids foundation helping the children’s homes in Donbas and Ukrainian refugees residing in the Netherlands.
Roma vs Shakhtar charity game held in Rome at the Stadio Olimpico raised aid in the amount of UAH 13.3 million (or UAH 350 thousand). Received proceeds Shakhtar Social will use for support of Shakhtar Shelter Centre at the Arena Lviv, projects providing aid to 10 families taking care of children who lost their parents and humanitarian aid.
Charity games played in summer gave UAH 18.4 million (or EUR 484 thousand) in total. Generally UAH 44 million is raised since the beginning of matches of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace in Ukraine.
We want to note that from February 24 to August 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted UAH 3 billion or about USD 100 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 11 million people throughout the country.
