Shakhtar U19 beat Vorskla U19 in the postponed Youth League MD15 game at home
Tvardovskyi and Drozd returned to the starting eleven, with Savin playing as a striker.
Toe-to-toe
The first half saw some even play from the beginning. At first, there were attempts by Poltava players Tuzenko (caught by Tvardovskyi) and Krokhmal (wide) and Shakhtar responded with a fast left-wing attack, however Chuiko didn’t manage to deliver the ball to Losenko at finishing. The Miners made the first shot after a free kick, but Hlushchenko lacked accuracy. At the end of the 45-minute period, Ratulutra’s outfit had two great opportunities after the headers: Yanovych shot following a corner in the first instance, and then Hlushchenko finished a build-up-play, with Yashchenko saving on the line in both cases.
Productive Tsukanov
Oskar Ratulutra made a substitution at half-time: Tryfanenko appeared instead of Savin. Bohdan entered the game well, actively helped to create a few chances on the right flank, however he converted none of them. Baranov’s boys Shvets and Prus had a one-on-one situation with Tvardovskyi twice in the beginning of the second half, but they couldn't beat Shakhtar captain. A key episode of the game happened in the 73rd minute when Hlushchenko confidently converted a penalty after Shvets’s second booking for a foul on Tsukanov in own penalty area. Having a numerical advantage, the Miners sealed their lead by Tsukanov’s goal. Shakhtar claimed a 2-0 win and approached Dynamo U19 at a one-point distance.
The Orange-and-Blacks will entertain Lviv U19 in the next match on April 15.
