Shakhtar claimed a crushing victory over Mariupol, scoring 3 goals in each half

Roman Zaiev used an experimental line-up in the match against Mariupol: Ustinova took a place between the sticks, with Semeniuk and Starukhina appearing in the starting eleven for the first time.

Confident advantage

Shakhtar started on top and secured a 2-goal advantage at once. At first, Yelyzaveta Molodiuk finished the attack with a billiard hit after pressure from her teammates, and a minute later she ran down the left wing and passed to Vykaliuk – 0-2. In the 25th minute, Molodiuk provided another assist: pass from the flank allowed Semeniuk to flick the ball just home (debut goal for Shakhtar). The hosts created several forays only towards the end of the half, however Ustinova played reliably while rushing out.

Prolific Molodiuk

Roman Zaiev made a triple substitution at half-time, fielding Henyk, Holovach and Astakhova, but the play pattern did not change because it was Shakhtar dominating on the pitch. In the 57th minute, the visitors scored again: Molodiuk ran through the half of the field with the ball and sent it precisely into Anpilohova’s goal corner. Shakhtar attacked most of the time in the second half and applied high pressure in case of losing the ball. However, the fifth goal was scored after a great long-ranger by Molodiuk. In the next attack, Chendei watched for a mistake in the opponents’ defensive actions and effectively used, making it 0-6. Shakhtar won and secured the third spot of the table.

On April 22, Shakhtar women’s team will face Pantery.
