Shakhtar U19 suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of their Oleksandriia counterparts
This time, Pushkarov appeared at right back and Savin played as a striker. Toirov and Hlushchenko also joined the team.
Missed penalty
The match began with an aggressive attack by the visitors and a dangerous shot by Zhadan that passed near the post. Then the Miners levelled the game. Toirov was especially memorable: he broke through down the flank several times and shot, but the Citizens were rescued by Dolhyi. And one of the key episodes happened in the 29th minute: Kaida committed a foul on Hlushchenko in his own box, but Anton did not convert the penalty (over the crossbar). At the end of the half, Oleksandriia also had some set pieces near Kravets’s goal, but none of them resulted in a goal.
A goal at the end
After the break, the Miners started to attack the rivals’ goal with renewed energy, having a play advantage. It should be noted that the match was remembered for a large number of fouls by the opponents. With the zero score, Oleksii Bielik refreshed the attacking line, deploying Demchenko, Smetana, Bundash and Tsukanov, who were active in front. Despite the constant assault of the goal, Dolhyi acted flawlessly both during Toirov's low efforts and after Bundash's shot below the crossbar. The visitors played mainly in defence, threatening only through set pieces. At the end, Bytsiura's side levelled the game, with Petryk receiving a pass from Bredelov and hitting the empty goal after one of the attacks down the right flank. Shakhtar tried to bounce back, even involving Kravets in the attack, but did not equalize the score. The Miners lost points for the first time in the season.
Oleksii Bielik’s outfit will play away against Kryvbas U19 in the next round on August 19.
