The Miners continue their charity tour to the Land of the Rising Sun

On December 16, the meeting between Shakhtar players and Ukrainians living in Japan took place at Hilton Tokyo Hotel. The event was organised by the Support Centre for Ukrainians in Tokyo with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan.

About 50 Ukrainian refugees, including people from Donbas, many of whom were children, came to visit the Orange-and-Blacks. Team players Taras Stepanenko, Mykola Matviienko, Oleksandr Zubkov and Valerii Bondar met with their compatriots. They talked about the war and football, reminisced a lot about the times when the Miners played in Donetsk. Representatives of the Ukrainian community said that they are very happy to see the team in Tokyo, because Shakhtar is the first Ukrainian club to visit Japan.

At the end of the meeting, the players signed autographs and took photos with everyone present, and the guests received memorable gifts from FC Shakhtar. In turn, the compatriots wished the team success and victories and assured that they would support the Miners in the stadium stands in the friendly game on Monday.

As a reminder, the charity match between Avispa Fukuoka and Shakhtar will take place on December 18 at the Japan National Stadium and will kick off at 12:00 Kyiv time.
