Shakhtar midfielder Dmytro Kryskiv commented on his goal and win in the UEFA Europa League knockout round play-off first leg
– Congratulations! How would you comment on your productive debut in the European competitions?
– Thank you. The debut turned out to be difficult because the first game after a long break was the European one. The team demonstrated good football and won 2-1.
– Were you comfortable in the left winger position?
– Yes, this is not my position, but I understand the coaches demands. I hope to continue to be useful for the team.
– The coach repeatedly mentioned you ahead of the meeting – did it add more motivation?
– Indeed, I feel the coach’s trust both on and off the field. It should be justified by a good play and effective actions.
– How did Igor Jovicevic motivate the team ahead of the match against Rennes?
– As always, we played for the entire country and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. You just couldn't go on and play at half-strength. We should enter the field and make every possible effort for our soldiers.
– How did you feel when you heard the words of support from the stands and shouts addressed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine?
– I want to thank the fans! We felt a great support. It was clear that we were playing for the whole country, I hope that our main victory is near.
