Shakhtar defeated Minaj in the postponed match of the Youth League round 9
During the match against Minaj U19, Rosputko took the centre-back position, with Tsukanov being in the middle of the field and Bako playing as a right winger.
One-goal advantage
The first third of the half was even: Shakhtar played offensively and the hosts tried to find an opportunity in front after counter-attacks. However, during one of the attacks, Minaj defenders did not keep pace with Bako, who snapped it after moving from the flank, and Pohorilyi was the first at follow-up – 0-1. The Transcarpathians became more intense after the conceded goal, but they did not manage to create any threatening chances near Tvardovskyi’s goal. And the Miners were active (especially the right flank) and could have doubled the score easily: Bako missed and Pohorilyi's attempt was blocked by Savchenko. 1-0 in favour of Shakhtar at half-time.
Positive result
Oskar Ratulutra made two substitutions after the break: Hlushchenko and Bundash took the field instead of Pushkaryov and Tsukanov. Hlushchenko immediately got a great opportunity to score when executing a penalty kick from 20 meters – the ball flew near the top corner. In the 62nd minute, the hosts created their best chance after active pressing of Shakhtar defenders and one-on-one situation by Popovych, but the referee registered an offside. In turn, the Miners managed to score in the second half: Hlushchenko ended the team's lasting attacking move from Siheev's pass, setting the final score.
Shakhtar U19 claimed a confident win over the Minaj side, scoring a goal in each time. Before the start of the second round of the championship, on February 27, Oscar Ratulutra's team will play the postponed MD6 match against Lviv U19.
