– Giorgi, welcome to Shakhtar! Share your first impressions of being in the team.
– First of all, I want to thank the club for such an opportunity and making this transfer possible. I am happy and motivated. The first impression is that they gave me a warm hearty welcome. It is very nice, I am happy!
– When and how did you learn about interest from Shakhtar? What emotions did you have back then and who was the first one you shared this news with?
– I found out from my agent that Shakhtar had an interest in me and I immediately shared this news with my wife. And we were both very happy about it. Then I communicated with Darijo Srna via videoconferencing, and when I heard from him that Shakhtar was really interested in my transfer, I got so motivated that agreed without hesitations.
– Back in the day, it was Darijo Srna who played in the right-back position in Shakhtar. What do you think about it?
– Of course, I know the history of Shakhtar and Darijo Srna, who is the legend of the team. He played so much time at such a high level, it gives me inspiration. I understand that I have to meet the expectations and correspond to the high level in this position.
– What goals and ambitions do you have in football?
– I know that Shakhtar are a very ambitious team playing in the Champions League and always setting the highest goals. I want to be a part of this team and achieve a great success with Shakhtar.
