Shakhtar midfielder received the award given by fans
Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been recognized as Shakhtar Player of the Year in 2022 following the social networking opinion poll, received his trophy at the training camp in Turkey. The symbolic figurine in the form of a bronze ball was given to the player before the morning training session by head coach of the Miners Igor Jovicevic. The mentor wished Mykhailo that his next award would be the Golden Ball of the best footballer in the world and the team congratulated the winner not only with words, but with a classic corridor as well.

– I consider this award a result of not only my individual work, but the work of the entire team. I thank the fans for their support. We will continue working. I assess my progress during the year as a good one, but you can always be better. Therefore, you should not stop, but go towards new goals, look for new challenges. As for the Golden Ball, I don’t know how to rate this probability in percentage terms, but everything is real. No one expected me to win the Shakhtar Player of the Year award in 2021 and no one expects me to get the Golden Ball as well, but it might happen one day. This is one of my personal goals.
We remind that fans name Mykhailo Mudryk as the best player of the team for the second time in a row. In 2022, the winger has played 18 competitive matches for the Miners, scoring 10 times and providing 8 assists. He got ahead of Taras Stepanenko and Anatolii Trubin in the final voting.
