– Sergii, the beginning of your day was very touching. How was the farewell with the team?
– Yes, I knew this information already the day before, and it was such an emotional uplift, but there were, as they say, sadness and longing today in the morning. I have been in this team for almost 13 years and I leave a large part of my soul and my heart here. And it is emotionally very hard.
– You played for Shakhtar for almost 13 years. What it was like to join the team and how was your football life during these years?
– This is a very happy stage of my life. I built myself here – owing to the club, the coaches who trained me, the team that always supported me, owing to a very good staff, president, management. Everything is perfect in this team. Probably, there is no other club in the world with such precise calculation of each detail. I am very glad that I spent 13 years in such a team like Shakhtar.
– What are your best memories? Matches, victories, goals, some personal moments, etc.?
– There were many great moments. And I believe that I will come as a passionate Shakhtar fan to the Donbass Arena in the near future and once again see this atmosphere at the stadium, supporting the team.
– What would you like to say to the fans right now?
– I would like to say that I thank them very much for their support. Especially as they support us at such difficult times for Ukraine. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to play for you at the stadiums because of the danger, but I believe that we will see each other soon, and our stadium will be crowded by the loyal fans.
