The defender played 13 seasons for Shakhtar, made 224 appearances and won 22 trophies
Shakhtar defender Sergii Kryvtsov moves to Inter Miami CF playing in the North American MLS.

– Moving to a new team is a part of every footballer’s life. But today we express our appreciation to the great legend who came here together with Stepanenko almost 13 years ago. This is a really huge moment for Shakhtar fans, for Sergii himself, for all the guys who played with Kryvtsov for a long time. I want to express great respect to Sergii, he was an integral part of Shakhtar's great success during these 13 years. I thank him for everything he did for Shakhtar from myself being a coach and on behalf of fans and teammates. I wish him the best success in the new club.

– We have one legend less. Sergii did a lot for the club, we went through many things together – from Donetsk to Warsaw. Yesterday, the president showed what a great man he is by saying: “Kryvtsov made a lot for Shakhtar, for Ukraine, and the doors of our club are always open for him.” It was nice to work and play with Sergii. Sergii Kryvtsov is a graduate of Metalurh Zaporizhzhia, wherefrom he moved to Shakhtar in 2010. The defender made 224 appearances for the Miners and scored 13 goals during twelve and a half seasons. Kryvtsov won 22 trophies together with the team: he became the champion of Ukraine 8 times, won 7 Ukrainian Cups and 7 Ukrainian Super Cups.
FC Shakhtar thanks Sergii for his professionalism and dedication to the club, for his reliable play on the football field and excellent human qualities, for his huge contribution to the team's victories and achievements. We wish him a bright continuation of his career, new achievements and trophies!
