Shakhtar youth team defeated their Inhulets counterparts away
Mykola Oharkov played at left-back in the stating XI instead of disqualified Bako and Halonskyi made his debut in the second half replacing the same Oharkov.
Tsukanov’s beautiful execution
The Miners dominated possession from the first minutes and had a good chance already in the opening when they developed an attack down the right flank and brought Tsukanov through on target (the goalkeeper kept the ball in his hands). Then Oskar Ratulutra’s side earned several set pieces through some active actions in front, however the ball would not go into the net neither after the corners nor after the free kick performed by Hlushchenko. In the middle of a half, Demchenko failed to use a good opportunity shooting right in the centre of the goal and Pushkarov was late on finishing. The hosts responded in the 28th minute when Kichko found himself in front of empty goal after a cross from the flank, but Oharkov was steady and prevented the rival from scoring. Shakhtar did score at the end of the half: Tsukanov was the first on the ball after a corner and shot, making the it bouncing off the post into the net. In the final minute of the half, the Miners should have doubled the score because Oharkov fed Pushkarov in front of empty net, but he missed from advantageous position.

The visitors began the second half actively and immediately converted their efforts – they orchestrated fast counter-attack, with Toirov successfully finishing it with his debut goal. Having a two-goal advantage, Oskar Ratulutra used all five substitutions and gave young players some match practice. The Miners had a few potentially threatening attacks before the final whistle one of which ended in a goal. Toirov’s attempt was blocked by defenders and Demchenko finished off, making it 0-3. Shakhtar had a confident chance at the end after the opponents’ keeper error, but Lomaha missed the empty goal.
