Shakhtar midfielder Heorhii Sudakov summed up the title-winning season
– How does it feel after winning the title?
– It is incredible to be the champions. I guess I still don't fully realize that we did it. Winning the championship being on the filed in almost every match is not what it used to be when the Brazilians played and you won on the bench in shorts. Here you did your best, was a part of the team, and yet there is no full understanding. But I think we wrote history during the war, since a year ago you didn't know a where you would be or if you would play football at all, and now you are standing here, holding a trophy and trying on a medal. I want to thank the entire team, starting with the staff and ending with every player. We did it together thanks to our mentality, team spirit. We made every effort for this title.
– What is your liveliest recollection and which period was the toughest for you?
– There were many different moments. Probably, beating Rennes in the Europa League was the most important moment. And being behind Dnipro-1 by 8 points was the most difficult one when you didn't know what to do after the first round. It is good that Dnipro-1 began to lose points and we got ours on the contrary. A statement that we are the best team in the league is confirmed by the fact that we scored the most, conceded the least, earned the most points, beat all the main opponents and lost only one match. I believe that this is an incredible achievement and we proved who are the champions and sole leaders of the Ukrainian Championship.
