Results of monthly voting on social media of the Orange-and-Blacks
Midfielder Artem Bondarenko has been recognized by fans as the best Shakhtar Player of the Month for April. 1,769 respondents (39.5%) voted for 22-year-old player on the club’s official social media pages. Vice-captain of the Miners Taras Stepanenko took the second place (1,445 point). The rating also included the winner of April's poll Heorhii Sudakov (1,107) and central defender Valerii Bondar (149). All in all, 4,470 users participated in the voting.
In April, Artem Bondarenko played in the starting eleven in all 6 matches of the Miners (532 minutes on the field out of 540), making goal involvements in 4 of them (4 goals and 3 assists). The midfielder has an assist in the clash with Chornomorets (2-2), a decider against Metalist (1-0), a winning brace in the game against Lviv (2-0), and a goal with assist against Kolos (3-1).
We remind that fans recognized goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin and midfielder Heorhii Sudakov as the best players in February and March correspondingly. Winners of monthly voting become contenders for the Player of the Year award.
