Shakhtar defeated Oleksandriia in the away central match of the 25th round of the Youth League
After the game against Minaj U19, there was one change in the starting line-up: Demchenko took the forward position, and Hlushchenko played in the centre of the field.
Advantage in the majority
From the first minutes, the host team actively went forward and performed several set pieces – unsuccessfully. In the 5th minute, after a counterattack by the Miners and a failure on the wing, Oleksandriia remained in the minority: Kaida grossly fouled Toirov, for which he received a straight red card. Having a numerical advantage, Shakhtar controlled the game, but there were few moments near the opponent’s goal. In the middle of the half, after moving from the wing, Pushkarov shot powerfully – the shot was received by the defender, and a few minutes after the corner kick, Faryna scored with a tight shot into the corner – the defender’s 3rd goal. Before the break, Bytsiura’s lads tried to equalize the score, but there were no attacks with dangerous shots on the goal of Kravets.
Sending-off of Bako
In the beginning of the second half, Shakhtar could have scored a second goal, but none of the teammates at the far post responded to Demchenko’s wing cross. Then there were more fights and duels at the stadium in Oleksandriia, during one of which Bako ended up on the pitch in the opponent’s penalty area, and the referee regarded it as diving (second yellow card). The Miners continued to act as leaders, and the game was mostly played in the centre of the field. In the end, none of the opponents managed to score before the final whistle.
In the next round, on May 12, the Orange-and-Blacks will play the away match against Inhulets U19.
