Shakhtar forward Danylo Sikan answered journalists' questions before the match against Antwerp
– Danylo, Shakhtar have not been scoring much lately, what is the reason? You netted a brace in the first game against the Belgian club, will you try to repeat the success tomorrow?
– For us, the most important thing is not a large number of goals, but the result, a victory in particular. We expect only a positive result for Shakhtar tomorrow.
– Did the loss of points in the previous match against Polissia affect the team? Why did you not manage to score?
– No, it did not affect us, because we understand that there will be many matches in the championship, in which you can lose a lot of points or go the distance without any losses. Everything is in our hands, we just need to win. I want to forget the game against Polissia, now all my thoughts are about the next match.
– Shakhtar have already played against Antwerp, what can you say about this team? How are Shakhtar going to act tomorrow and what strengths of the opponent can you name?
– Antwerp are a very good team that show combinational football, play forward and constantly look for space, like to attack through the middle. The squad includes very good players both in attack and defence. But, like any club, Antwerp also has weaknesses. We will try to make the most of the remaining time to prepare both our team and our attack for tomorrow's game. I hope that we will approach the match with the maximum determination, because we understand that we only need victory.
– During this Champions League season, German Volksparkstadion became a home arena for Shakhtar. Do you feel comfortable here, like at home, since in Hamburg you are supported not only by Ukrainians but also by local fans?
– Of course, I really want to play with the fans at home, in Ukraine, but it is currently not possible. I am grateful to the fans who come to our matches in Hamburg, support us and give us a second home in this city.
