Shakhtar women’s team lost to Zhytlobud-1 in the Ukrainian Vyshcha League round 10
Shakhtar women’s team manager Roman Zaiev picked the following line-up for the match against Zhytlobud-1: Klimova took the goalkeeper position, Mostova and Henyk were the fullbacks, Vyshnevska and Krevska played at centre-back, Zaborovets and Starukhina acted in the midfield, Mokhnach and Yanieva were on the wings, with Molodiuk and Vykaliuk starting as centre forwards.
Goals in the last minute of the half
The match kicked off with a threatening chance of Zhytlobud-1: Pantsulaia made a cross from the right wing to Kornatska, who won the aerial challenge and shot high. In the 5th minute, the referee awarded a set piece for a foul from Yanieva, Apanashchenko shot in the near corner. Shakhtar attacked in response in the 9th minute: Mokhnach made a delivery from own part of the field to Vykaliuk who fed Molodiuk – the goalkeeper blocked it. The opponents demonstrated a high pace and carried out mutual attacks, and while Shakhtar moved the ball forward using the flanks, Zhytlobud-1 tried to advance the ball through the free zones in the centre between the thirds. It was from the flank that Shakhtar created another chance: Molodiuk beat Pozdnikova and crossed it to Mokhnach, who made a one-touch shot but missed. At the end of the first half, Zhytlobud-1 controlled the ball and began to attack Shakhtar's goal. In the 44th minute, after a foul by Henyk in the penalty area, the referee awarded a penalty that was converted by Khimych – 1-0. A minute later, Zhytlobud-1 doubled the advantage: after a delivery from a corner, Pantsulaia took advantage of the free zone in the penalty area of Shakhtar and beat the goalkeeper, making it 2-0.
Playing in defence
Roman Zaiev used a double substitution at the beginning of the second half: Kravchuk and Chendei took the field instead of Vyshnevska and Mostova. In the 53rd minute, Manziuk, after a challenge in the central part of the field, pushed the ball to Khimych who found a shooting position and strike into the far corner – 3-0. Despite the advantage in the score, Volodymyr Piatenko's side continued to attack and control the ball on the Miners' part of the field. In the 64th minute, Kornatska hit the crossbar from outside the penalty area, a minute later Manziuk brought Kornatska one-on-one with the goalkeeper with a splitting pass – Klimova was reliable. After the 70th minute, the intensity of the game decreased, Shakhtar moved away from own goal and tried to reduce the decrease the gap, but the defines of Zhytlobud-1 did not allow the Miners to advance the ball to the final third. At the end of the meeting, Molodiuk brought Vykaliuk one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but it was not possible to carry out a proper shot.
Roman Zaiev’s outfit will play the next game vs Vorskla away on November 14.
