The club president discussed current issues with caretaker coach and CEO
FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov met with caretaker coach Darijo Srna and club’s CEO Serhii Palkin in Kyiv. They discussed urgent issues regarding the club's activities at the meeting.
Rinat Akhmetov thanked Darijo Srna for agreeing to lead the team at such a difficult time for the country and the club and wished him luck in the upcoming matches.
"Your heart has always been, is and will be with Shakhtar. Even knowing that we are planning to appoint a new coach, you were not afraid to accept the team before the game against Barcelona and other difficult matches", Rinat Akhmetov said to Darijo Srna. "I am sure that Shakhtar have many victories ahead. Just like I am sure of victory of Ukraine in this unjust war. I am proud of what the club does for rehabilitation of soldiers and support of their families. We will definitely continue these programmes."
