On October 22, FC Shakhtar CEO Serhii Palkin celebrates his birthday
In more than 20 years, during which Serhii Palkin has been the head of the club’s management, Shakhtar has become not only the most successful club in the country, but also a true ambassador of Ukrainian football in Europe and worldwide. The sports achievements of the team during this time include 31 won trophies: 13 championship titles, 8 Ukrainian Cups, 9 Ukrainian Super Cups and the UEFA Cup. In addition, Shakhtar continue to be the regular participants of the main club tournaments of the continent, the Champions League and the Europa League, where they adequately represent Ukraine in the international arena.
In the current conditions of the full-scale war, FC Shakhtar and CEO personally engage in civic activities, supporting the state, the military, the defenders of the country and millions of Ukrainians through humanitarian projects with the help from charitable organisations and football clubs.
