The president and the head coach of Shakhtar discussed the present and the future of the team
On October 29, FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov met with the new head coach of the team Marino Pusic in Kyiv.
The club president congratulated the Bosnian mentor on his appointment and presented a symbolic shirt of the Miners with number 38. As a reminder, Pusic became the 38th head coach in the history of Shakhtar.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the club’s Sports Director Darijo Srna and assistant head coach Mario Stanic, there was a detailed and constructive conversation about the team’s present and the vision of their development in the future. Rinat Akhmetov thanked the mentor and his staff for making a bold decision to come to Ukraine in such a difficult time for our country, Ukrainian football and the club.
“I am very grateful that you are here today, that you were not driven by fear of coming to Ukraine, but by a great desire to make the Ukrainian team stronger, to do everything to make the Ukrainian fans and the fans of Shakhtar Donetsk happy with beautiful and spectacular attacking play,” Rinat Akhmetov said to Marino Pusic.
Finally, the president wished the new head coach success, in particular, in the upcoming matches of Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Cup, the Ukrainian League and the Champions League.
