Shakhtar forward Danylo Sikan shared his impressions of the win over Antwerp
– Congratulations on the victory and your important debut goals in the Champions League! The match turned out to be very intense. What can you say about it?
– A very difficult match, especially in the first half. But we demonstrated our play, I think, thanks to our fans. So many of them attended the game and it was unexpected for us. We made a comeback, as they say, and took three very important points.
– We saw a completely different team in the second half. What happened during the break? How did the coach motivate you?
– To be honest, I’m surprised too. After all, there was nothing special during the break: we chatted a bit, braced ourselves up and just came on to play real football, as Shakhtar always do.
– You will probably remember this match for the rest of your life. Let's recall your goals, how do you see those episodes?
– I think that it is just an effort of the whole team. Everyone saw how we came on in the second half, it was a completely different game. Both my goals and Rakitskyi's goal are all team actions only.
– You received a very nice award from UEFA as the best player of the match. What does it mean to you?
– It is such a small dream: I always wanted to get this award and I got it.
