Shakhtar women’s team are preparing for the away clash with Ladomyr Volodymyr
On Tuesday, April 16, Shakhtar women’s team held a morning pre-match training session in Shchaslyve.
An hour and a half class started with a 10-minute warm-up. Next, the girls performed a series of exercises with the ball aimed at improving coordination and ball control. Later, the players practised their actions in the final attacking phase. At the end of the session, the field players focused on acceleration, while the goalkeepers worked separately under the leadership of Dmytro Shutkov.
The Vyshcha League second stage MD 4 between Ladomyr and Shakhtar will take place in Volodymyr at the Olimp stadium on Thursday, April 18. It kicks off at 12:00.
Yelyzaveta Maslovska, midfielder:
– The team are preparing for the meeting with Ladomyr in a great mood. Today's training session started with a short warm-up and a relay for psychological relief. Next, we had game exercises with the ball and held a small-sided game with practice of combination actions. We have a busy schedule, but I think the team managed to recover and prepare for the next game.
– Tell us about your future opponents, what kind of meeting are you expecting?
– I cannot say that Ladomyr are a weak team. Footballers try to impose their game and fight in every episode. We have a responsible attitude to the game against Ladomyr and I hope that we will fulfil the plan and get a positive result. To do this, we need to be focused throughout the match.
– Shakhtar are the first professional team in your career. Can we say that you have progressed compared to last year?
– Regarding the psychological state on the field and in the training process compared to last year, I have progressed. I try to work and learn new things, understanding which aspects of my play need to be improved. Shakhtar is indeed my first professional club in my career and I am happy to be part of the team and want to be useful for the team.
