Shakhtar women’s team are preparing for the clash with Kryvbas
On Tuesday, April 23, Shakhtar women’s team held an hour and a half pre-match training session at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve.
It began with a warm-up in playing format with finishing. Then, the coaching staff offered the girls exercises aimed at tactical interaction and moving. At the end, the players practised the accuracy of shots from a medium distance.
We remind that the Shakhtar vs Kryvbas game will take place at the Kniazha Arena in Shchaslyve on April 24 at 11:00. The live stream will be available on Shakhtar’s official YouTube channel.

– After the victory over Ladomyr, the team returned to the training process in relief. We are diligently preparing for the match against Kryvbas and we hope that we will be able to fulfil the plan. Today, traditionally, we started our training session with a warm-up, worked on moving and ended with a series of shots.
– Shakhtar interrupted a three-game losing streak through the victory over Ladomyr. How did it affect the team?
– We prepared and understood that a series of defeats negatively affects the mood of the team and the image of the club. We interrupted a disappointing streak through this win and hopefully it will help in the next matches and be just the beginning.
– Kryvbas finished the Vyshcha League first stage at the top of the table. What are your expectations for the game?
– We know a lot about Kryvbas. They are the team that saw a lot of experienced players leave during the pre-season period and be replaced by youth. They control the ball and avoid pressure through quick counter-attacks. There is a difficult and important game ahead and I hope that we will be able to get a positive result owing to our strongest qualities.
