The Miner's Day and the Donetsk City Day are traditionally celebrated on the last August Sunday
Miners are the representatives of a brave and proud profession, their hard and honourable work brings light and warmth to the people. Miners have always had special respect – Donbas is called a mining region for a reason, and it is no coincidence that another favourite holiday of Donetsk residents falls on this day.
Today our native Donetsk turns 155. This is a city with glorious history and strong character. A city that FC Shakhtar Donetsk will always be closely connected to.
We congratulate all miners and Donetsk residents on the holiday and wish happiness, good health and well-being to you and your families, and also the speedy return of peace and future prosperity to Ukrainian Donbas.
