Shakhtar U19 are preparing for the meeting with Bayern Munich U19 in the UEFA Youth League
On Saturday, December 7, Shakhtar youth team players conducted a training session at the Academy facility in Shchaslyve to prepare for the final match of the UEFA Youth League league phase against Bayern U19, which will take place next Tuesday in Gelsenkirchen.
The training session began with an intensive warm-up, which included exercises using hurdles and prepared the players for further workloads. The coaching staff focused on recovery aspects, therefore, the majority of the time was dedicated to practising passing complexes, movements and improving tactical interaction. At the end, the players worked in subgroups: one subgroup practised transition from defence to attack, and the other worked on ball control.

– Today we worked on tactical aspects of the game in subgroups. The final meeting of the UEFA Youth League league phase with Bayern U19 will be difficult. Despite the fact that we have already ensured our participation in the next stage of the competition, we focus only on victory. Participation in the UEFA Youth League is a great opportunity to prove yourself, which is extremely important for every young player.

As a reminder, the UEFA Youth League league phase MD 6 game between Shakhtar U19 and Bayern U19 will take place at the Parkstadion in Gelsenkirchen on December 10. It kicks off at 13:00 Kyiv time. The live stream will be available on the FC Shakhtar app and the club’s official website.
