Women’s team midfielder Lidiia Zaborovets became the best player in 2023 in Shakhtar according to fans
They held the opinion poll on Shakhtar’s official Instagram and Facebook pages to determine the best female player in 2023. Each fan could make their choice by writing a name in the comments. A total of 929 respondents took part in the poll; Lidiia Zaborovets won with 391 votes. Yelyzaveta Molodiuk (346) and Sofiia Lutsan (119) were in the top three, taking the second and third spots.
During 2023, Lidiia made 24 appearances in competitive matches for Shakhtar and helped the Ukraine U19 women's national team advance to the second round of the Euro 2024 qualification from the first spot.
