Shakhtar newcomer Kevin gave his first interview as a team player
– Kevin, welcome to Shakhtar! Share your first emotions after joining the team.
– I was very excited when I found out that Shakhtar had an interest in me. It is a club with a long history, through which many Brazilian footballers have passed. I hope that I can leave my mark in the history of this club too.
– Perhaps you spoke with some of the current Shakhtar Brazilians or with someone who were previously in the team when you made the decision to join the club?
– Yes, I talked with both current and former footballers. I spoke with current player Eguinaldo, as well as former player Luis Adriano.
– What did they tell you about Shakhtar?
– They told me that it is a big club with a long history, that I can come here, show my work and also take my place in history.
– Did you follow Shakhtar? What can you say about football that the team demonstrate and how long will it take you to adapt to these demands?
– Yes, I watched Shakhtar's performances in the Champions League. I hope that I will be able to adapt quickly and help the team with my work – goals and assists.
– Describe yourself as a player: what are your strong qualities?
– My strong qualities are speed, dribbling, instant decision-making on the field and great shooting.
– You will have number 37, just like in your former club. What does it mean to you?
– It is really important for me. This is the number I started playing with and I want to continue playing with this number.
– Our fans were waiting for you, constantly asking about you on social media. What would you like to tell them?
– I would like to thank everyone. I also want to say that I came here to help the club and I hope that I will succeed.
