The results of the final social media voting
Midfielder Heorhii Sudakov has been recognized as Shakhtar Player of the 2023/24 season. These are the results of a poll on the club's social networks, where 9,899 fans voted for the 21-year-old halfback, which is more than 79% of all respondents.
The rating of the team’s top footballers also included forward Danylo Sikan (1,570 votes), midfielder Oleksandr Zubkov (697) and Dmytro Kryskiv (325). All in all, 12,491 respondents participated in the final voting.

– I would like to thank fans for this award because it is they who chose me as the best player. I also want to thank my teammates, the head coach and the entire staff for helping me become better. It is very nice to be recognized as Shakhtar Player of the Season, I’m proud of it and feel incredible emotions. However, I don't want to stop there, I keep working and have high goals: one of them is to perform successfully now with the Ukraine national team at the European Championship. As for the past season, it happened to be quite tough. We had not the best beginning of the league, but we came back in time and stepped it up in the second stage. Of course, it's a pity that we couldn't advance further in the European competitions, but winning the championship and the Ukrainian Cup is a great accomplishment for the club, which we achieved through a hard work, so I consider this success quite fitting.
Heorhii Sudakov made 34 appearances for Shakhtar in 2023/24 season, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists (the UPL – 6 goals and 4 assists, the Champions League and the Europa League – 1 goal each, the Ukrainian Cup – 2 goals and 2 assists). Fans picked the midfielder as Player of the Month five times, as well as recognized him as Player of the Year 2023.
