Shakhtar U15 won gold medals of the Ukrainian Youth Football League championship
The path to the final
Oleksandr Ovchynnykov’s team performed confidently and were undefeated throughout the season. In the group stage, the Miners had 11 wins and 3 draws in 14 matches, gaining 36 points (goal difference: 51–6), and they advanced to the play-offs from the second spot in the group. Illia Sudakov became the top goalscorer of the group stage (6 goals in 12 games).
Young Pitmen defeated Lokomotyv U15 (4-0), DYuSSh Atlet U15 (1-1 and 1-0) and LNZ U15 (0-0 and 4-0) in the play-off matches, which allowed them to continue the fight and play in the final round of the competition.

Shakhtar Donetsk U15 1-0 Dynamo Kyiv U15
The Orange-and-Blacks started the final stage of the competition with the game against Dynamo U15 at the Arena Lviv. In general, the Donetsk team were more proactive, and one goal scored in the 29th minute of the match decided the fate of the game, when Shukalovych won in the air after a corner and hit the target with a header.
Shakhtar Donetsk U15 2-0 UFC Kryvbas Dnipro U15
On the second matchday, the Donetsk team faced UFC Kryvbas U15 at the Arena Lviv. The Miners started actively and quickly took the lead thanks to a great cross by Plaminskyi and Sarychev’s final shot from the distance of the eleven-metre mark. They managed to double the advantage in the 65th minute, when the pair of Rudzei and Kolisnichenko beat the defence with combinations and capped the scoring with an accurate shot by Nazarii.
Shakhtar Donetsk U15 3-1 Munkach Mukacheve U15
The Donetsk team met with Munkach U15 in the decisive match of the season at the Bohdan Markevych stadium. The Miners started powerfully, and in the 3rd minute, they took the lead thanks to Sarychev’s well-placed shot. Then, Shakhtar U15 combined near the opponent’s penalty area and converted efforts into goals by Shukalovych and Kuriachyi. Munkach U15 responded with an effective shot by Tretiakov at the end of the first half. The second half was goalless and passed under control of the Orange-and-Blacks.
Individual awards
During the awarding ceremony, Yehor Onishchuk and Stanislav Shukalovych received the individual prizes. Confident and reliable defensive play did not go unnoticed, and Yehor was recognised as the best defender of the tournament. Stanislav Shukalovych became the best player of the final part of the DUFLU.
